croft brothers little research

Is anyone familiar with croftbros.com ? It seems like a really legit hyip, and I was wondering if anyone has tried it yet. They pay 5% daily (mon.-fri.) for 8 weeks. They accept almost every form of payment, with a minimum investment of only $5. Here's a little info from their FAQ:


3.1. How can you pay such huge profits?
First we should say that we make substantially more profit than we pay to our investors in interest payments. We're experienced Forex and Gold market entrepreneurs. We see a great arbitrage/growth opportunity on gold market now, which allows us to make really good profit these days. Our ingenious scheme is based on speculating with forward gold contracts and gold futures, using a highly leveraged strategy based on the arbitrage opportunities, brought to life by soaring gold prices these days.


4.1. For how long are you going to offer this opportunity?
We'll be offering this opportunity for at least two full cycles of the program. So you'll be able to make 400% profit in 16 weeks if you reinvest your profits. Then we plan to lower the returns we pay to around 3-4% daily, that will happen in May 2006.


5.1. Why is my investment secure?
We structure profit payments to our members in such a way that you can be sure that the profit flow won't stop. We prefer to pay you your principle investment back daily, together with profits, which makes the cash flow stable and lets us use your investment to the full extent. That's how it works:
-You make your investment
-We put 50% of your investment in the investment pool, diversified between selected Forex traders and gold futures/forward contracts speculations.
-The other 50% goes into our reserve fund, which should provide the stability of our program.
- We start making profit on your investment, now it's in the range of 4-7% daily. We pay you approximately 2.5% out of our profits, 2.5% out of the reserve fund. The rest of our profit goes back into the investment pool, and the compounding effect comes into play.
-As the program goes on we replenish the reserve fund with a part of our profits, so there is ALWAYS money for payouts. We want both our investors and us to get the maximum profit from our program, and this unique payment structure makes it possible.


6.1. Why do you provide no member area where I can track my investment?
We want to make our program as robust as possible. We want no hackers to break into the online database and steal your money, so we keep the database of our investors offline, so you can be sure that the cash flow won't stop. You can always login to your e-gold or e-bullion account and check the update of your account balance.

Well I must say, I am a bit confused about this one as "whois" pulled one IP address and a domain name could not be matched, and "coolwhois" pulled another IP address,
and a domain name could not be matched...
A DNS Report showed that there was a problem with the Sender Policy Framework (SPF); This means that spammers can easily send out E-mail that looks like it came from that domain, and the DNS Report also showed:
Your www.croftbros.com A record is:
www.croftbros.com. A 209.249.221.12 [TTL=7200] [US], which is entirely different than the "whois" IP address.
I attribute this to the fact that this domain has two nameservers, which is not uncommon, but generally, they are sequential. These both appear to be in the US, but one in NJ and one in CA.
However, using - IP - 209.249.221.12
NetRange: 209.249.0.0 - 209.249.255.255

Even though the Croft Bros 'seem' to be using their identity and location in running this program, there just is something not right given this technical information. If someone else can interpret this information with some other meaning, I welcome better understanding.
I suppose I trust the technical details to tell a more believable story than the story than the Croft Bros are telling about their program.

Time tells.... use judgement.

OK well in the time it took for me to do the above research, forwardone also found a link on the Croftbros.com forum with similiar questions. Now I did not search for "CroftBrothers".com and I assume that is where the UK connection came in. I did not find any hosting in Ill either, but probably due to the same reason.
And now that I see the questions that are being evaded on the forum, I feel much better advising "caution" if you invest in this program.
